I am a PhD student in the Department of Agronomy at Purdue University. I recieved my bachleor of science in Plant Genetics, Breeding and Biotechnology from Purdue University in May 2021, and started my graduate studies in Janurary 2022. I have been a part of Dr. Cankui Zhang's plant physiology lab since 2017, first joining as an undergraduate researcher, and eventually furthering my education as a graduate student. The purpose of my research is to establish narrowleaf and broadleaf plantain as models for plant vascular biology research, with an emphesis on establishing efficient plant transformation systems for each species. I also study the mechanisms behind vascular specific carbohydrate transport in narrowleaf plantain.
