I am a fifthh year Ph.D. candidate at Purdue University studying in the biochemistry program, and work in the lab of Dr. Sujith Puthiyaveetil. Currently, my research focuses on the molecular mechanisms by which the pigment-protein complex Photosystem II disassembles in response to light and oxidative stress. Broadly, I enjoy learnig about the ways that plants are able to sense and adapt to changes in the environment, and how large protein complexes mediate these responses. In my free time I enjoy adventuring outdoors, spending time with friends, cooking, and learning about many native plants of the midwest.
