My name is Collin Modelski and I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate at Auburn University, advised by Dr. Courtney Leisner in the Department of Biological Sciences. I completed my Bachelor's of Science at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. There, I spent my time researching tomato root hormone signaling in response to presence of abiotic stress with Dr. Susan Bush I am interested in both abiotic and biotic stress resistance in horticulture crops. During my time at Auburn University, I have studied the effects of rising tropospheric ozone, and the impacts it will have on solonaceous plants at the cellular, leaf, and whole plant levels. I am passionate about studying how climate change will impact plant physiology, and what steps can be taken to help increase plant productivity in the future.
