I am currently working as a Research Scientist in the Department of Agronomy at Iowa State University. I have completed my Ph.D. in Agronomy from Penn State University and my MS in Plant Breeding and Genetics from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. I have more than ten years of research experience in plant science. Skilled in plant breeding, quantitative genetics, plant-microbe interactions, association mapping, secondary metabolites, sensors, and citizen science. My research has been published in various journals, and contributed to the scientific field by serving as an editor, reviewer, and organizer of workshops and professional societies. I am currently editing video method collection articles on “Novel Crop Improvement Methods” for JoVE and a review editor for Frontiers in Plant Science in the Functional and Applied Genomics section. I have reviewed FFARs (Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research) grant proposals and conference proceedings and have reviewed 61 manuscripts for 20 journals.
