My current project in Brookhaven National Laboratory is The Quantitative Plant Science Initiative (QPSI) with goal of bridging the gap between genes and their functions. My main focus in this project is studying mechanism of gene function and regulatory network in relation to micronutrients homeostasis in bioenergy crops particularly Poplar and sorghum. I graduated my PhD in 2020 from Oklahoma State University under the supervision of Dr. Million Tadege. My PhD research focus was Cellular homeostasis of Copper in Sorghum. Prior to joining Oklahoma State University, I worked as a Lecturer for two years in Wollo University, Ethiopia, where I also get my Master in Genetics.
