I am a professor of bioinformatics in the Department of Horticulture at Washington State University. Our USDA, NSF and industry supported program focuses on development of online genomic, genetic and breeding databases for over 25 crops (mostly specialty crops such as tree fruit, berries, nuts, pulses, but also cotton - www.rosaceae.org, www.cottongen.org, www.citrusgenomedb.org, www.pulsedb.org, www.vaccinium.org). We use and develop the open-source, generic, resource-efficient Tripal database platform (tripal.info).
