Emmanuel is a PhD Candidate in Dr. Duke Pauli's lab at the University of Arizona. He merges data and plant sciences to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and applicability of plant phenotyping data through the integration of advanced technology and automation. He employs machine learning, distributed computing, and geospatial techniques to process and analyze large-scale field phenomics data collected by drones and the Field Scanalyzer at the University of Arizona, the world’s largest outdoor plant phenotyping platform. Emmanuel’s work involves extracting fine-scale, individual plant phenotypes from images and 3D models to study the stress responses of crops like lettuce, sorghum, and cotton.
