Kaylee Bagdan is an undergraduate NSF researcher in Professor David Domozych’s laboratory at Skidmore College studying the Golgi apparatus, trans-Golgi network, and ECM of the green alga, Penium margaritaceum. Her other current roles include student laboratory manager of the Domozych laboratory, program coordinator for the Young Scholars Cell Biology Institute, and full-time Skidmore College student majoring in Biology and minoring in Environmental Science and Studies and Honors Forum. Kaylee is proficient in light, confocal, and scanning electron microscopy, and has experience in transmission electron microscopy and preparatory techniques like microtomy as well. She hopes to continue her education by pursuing a PhD in Plant Biology in the Fall of 2024 and is interested in potentially exploring further agal work, microscopy, cell biology, or conservation. Kaylee’s background is in agriculture as she was raised on her family’s dairy farm and is originally from Galway, New York.
