My name is Jonah Zabik, and I am a student at the University of Georgia studying Plant Biology, Genetics, and Applied Biotechnology, intending to graduate in May 2024. I am currently studying the impacts of mkk4 and mkk5 genes on the development of Arabidopsis thaliana, with the intention of furthering my research to include more genes within the MAP kinase cascade. I am planning on going to Graduate School after graduating with the hope of studying biofuel crops to further the growing field of biofuel production through understanding how specific genes function within crops suitable for biofuel production.
