Abdulrahman Alhabsi is a Ph.D. candidate majoring in Cell & Molecular Biology at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. Abdulrahman's research focuses on understanding the link between alternative splicing and plant development and stress response via the characterization of rice Serine/Arginine-rich Splicing Factor.
He is currently a joint student at the Laboratory of Genome Engineering & Synthetic Biology (GESB), and the Laboratory of Plant Cell & Developmental Biology (LPCDB) at KAUST.
He has a Master of Science degree in Cell & Molecular Biology from KAUST. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Dalhousie University in Canada.
