EAST LANSING, Michigan
I am currently a Research Associate in Dr. Addie Thompson's lab at Michigan State University. My research focuses on the genomic and phenomic analysis of sorghum under varied growing conditions utilizing a high-throughput phenotyping and statistical approach (the genome-phenome-wide association study). During my previous postdoctoral studies, I gained valuable experiences in cereal crop genetics and physiology. For example, at the BGU, Israel I explored the genetic diversity of wild emmer wheat resources for host plant resistance against aphid herbivory, while at NIPGR, India I explore the source efficiency and sink strength in cultivated and wild rice through integrated transcriptomic and metabolomic approach. I also investigated the molecular basis of processing quality in Indian bread wheat during my Ph.D. research. I acquire the ASPB ambassador badge for 2023 and actively engage in the Plantae webinar: Specialized Metabolites Part 2 (Metabolites and Defense) in 2021.
