Jihee Lee is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Biochemistry at Purdue University. She received her M.S. in Crop Science and B.S. in Applied Bioscience from Konkuk University in South Korea. During her master's degree, she focused on profiling phenolic and lipophilic metabolites in crops to identify the chemical properties and to create a metabolite database for further research to improve plant quality and usage. In her Ph.D. study, she is studying the biological processes involved in the emission of volatiles from petunia flowers, and she is also interested in investigating mechanisms of the perception of volatiles by plants.
