Sarah Hale is an Assistant Researcher who studies plant-pest interactions with the University of Idaho Plant Sciences Department. Originally from Benton City, WA., Sarah was raised with an appreciation for agriculture. She believes that bridging the gap between agriculture, science, and the community is essential for progressing plant sciences. Sarah graduated in Spring of 2023 with a B.S. in Biotechnology & Plant Genomics and a B.A. in Spanish. In Summer 2022, she was also an ASPB SURF participant. She intends to pursue a master's degree in Plant Sciences at the University of Idaho and study gene activation in the presence of root nematodes.
