I'm Lauren, a recent biochemistry and molecular biology graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. My primary area of research has focused on proteins involved in and related to nitric oxide homeostasis in plants, on which I completed my undergraduate thesis. From my nearly three years of comprehensive research I have extensive experience with CRISPR, protein biochemistry, and experimental design. To investigate enzyme catalysis, I joined researchers at the University of Bologna to conduct enzymatic assays, and have continued to participate in this multi-lab collaboration. I hope to continue my research in plant biology and related fields as I work towards earning a PhD in this dynamic field.
