John Snider is a Professor of crop physiology in the department of Crop and Soil Sciences at the University of Georgia. Dr. Snider received his PhD from the University of Arkansas in 2010, was a postdoctoral researcher with USDA-ARS, and has been a faculty member with a research and teaching emphasis at the University of Georgia since 2012. The overarching goal of his research program is to apply physiological principles to solve agronomic problems while improving the productivity, efficiency, and sustainability of cotton production. His major areas of emphasis include abiotic stress physiology, plant-based water management, and seedling vigor. Snider’s teaching efforts include undergraduate and graduate instruction in the areas of crop science, advanced crop production, and crop physiology.
