While obtaining my B.Sc. in Biotechnology at Hadassah Academic College in Jerusalem, I delved into various subjects such as genetics and plant sciences. Out of all the courses, biotechnology of plants captivated my interest the most, inspiring me to pursue further studies in the realm of genetic engineering of plants. In 2017, I started my master's degree and subsequent Ph.D. studies under the guidance of Prof. Joseph Hirschberg at the Institute of Life Sciences of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
My research focuses on investigating the abscisic acid (ABA) regulatory network in tomato plants. Through editing of SnRK2 genes, mutant plants were generated. We then analyzed their physiological and transcriptomic responses under stress conditions in hopes of understanding the intricate mechanisms behind ABA signaling in plants.
Driven by a burning passion for this field, I am eager to continue expanding my knowledge and horizons within the realm of plant biotechnology.
