Research Plant Physiologist
USDA-ARS, Northern Great Plains Research Laboratory
Mandan, North Dakota
I am a research plant physiologist with the USDA-ARS at the Northern Great Plains Research Laboratory located in North Dakota. My research focuses on understanding how agricultural management practices impact crop and forage physiology and nutritional quality. Prior to starting with the ARS in 2022, I was a Biology Professor at Dickinson State University, which is a PUI in western North Dakota. I was a graduate student and postdoc in Roger Hangarter's lab at Indiana University where I studied Arabidopsis phototropism and chloroplast movement. My undergraduate degree was in Plant Breeding at Purdue. I gave my first symposium presentation the Plant Biology meeting in 2003, and I am grateful for the opportunity to present again in 2023.
