Laxman Adhikari is a Poland lab post-doctoral researcher at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia. He received his Ph.D. in Plant Breeding, Genetics and Genomics from the University of Georgia (UGA), GA in December, 2018. After his Ph.D. he joined Dr. Jesse Poland's lab at Kansas State University. He is interested in understanding the underlying genetic, molecular, biochemical, and cellular mechanisms in relation to plant biotic and abiotic stresses. He is also interested in gaining insights into the basis of crop evolution, diversity and the fundamental omics phenomena that govern crop evolutionary diversification. He has had experiences in the fields of plant genetics, genomics, breeding, bioinformatics, biotechnology, agronomy, and statistics. Laxman has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed articles and some Book Chapters. Laxman has been serving as an associate editor for Euphytica and a reviewer of several high-impact journals such as Plant Physiology, BMC Biology etc.
