Janeen Braynen is a dedicated scientist who is driven by the profound words of Louis Pasteur "Science knows no country because knowledge belongs to humanity, and is the torch which illuminates the world." With a doctorate earned from Zhengzhou University, Janeen's research focused on understanding reproductive alterations in Brassica rapa using advanced omics techniques. Currently a postdoctoral researcher at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Janeen's primary focus is studying gene regulatory networks in crop plants, specifically nutrient use efficiencies. Alongside her scientific pursuits, Janeen is passionate about teaching, effectively communicating science to non-scientists, and advocating for animal welfare.
