Veronica Ramirez is currently a doctoral candidate at Technical University of Munich, Chair of Biotechnology of Horticultural Crops.
Her work focuses on the complex interactions between brassinosteroid signaling, abiotic and biotic stresses in Arabidopsis thaliana and crop species including Helianthus annuus. Her academic pursuits into understanding plants at a molecular level began with her B.Sc. at University of Florida in Plant Science and continued into an M.Sc. at TUM in the International Horticultural Science program in Freising, Germany. Her additional interests include scientific illustration, entomology, and long-distance running.
