Postdoctoral research scholar

I completed my Ph.D. in Biochemistry at North Carolina State University, where I conducted research under the guidance of Dr. Colleen Doherty. My primary focus was on investigating plant circadian rhythms and studying how plants adapt to temperature stress during different periods of the day. Additionally, I developed a strong interest in bioinformatics, specifically in the analysis of RNA-Sequencing data. During my doctoral studies, I worked on a research project to evaluate the effectiveness of synthetic RNA spike-ins in correcting variations in RNA-Seq analysis. This correction process was crucial in ensuring accurate interpretation of differential expression analysis. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Doherty lab. My current project involves studying the interaction between warm nighttime temperatures and nematode infections, specifically focusing on their impact on photosynthesis in tomato plants.
