I am a final year graduate student at National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi, India. My Master’s dissertation at National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow, India sparked my interest in plant environmental signalling. My PhD work primarily focuses on comparative investigation of plant developmental responses under changing light and temperature conditions in different plant species and underlying transcriptional regulation using gene regulatory networks. The leads from my PhD research will contribute to design future climate smart crops. My long-term academic interests lies in understanding plant responses to a combination of adverse environmental conditions at single-cell level and developing strategies to mitigate the effects of climate change on plant ecosystems. I enjoy teaching molecular biology and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students in the lab. I am currently an ASPB ambassador and have been a part of ASPB scientific activities as a panellist on Plantae Webinar Series ‘Evo-devo as a discovery tool’.
