Assistant Professor
National Taiwan University
Taipei, Taipei, Taiwan (Republic of China)
Dr. Mei-Chun Cheng received her B.S. degree in Life Sciences, her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Plant Biology from National Taiwan University. As a graduate student in Dr. Tsan-Piao Lin’s lab, she worked on characterizing the regulation and degradation of ERF transcription factors in Arabidopsis. She did her post-doctoral research with Dr. Enamul Huq at UT Austin, where she studied the molecular basis of light responses as well as the light-mediated translational regulation in plants.
Dr. Cheng is now an Assistant Professor of Department of Biochenical Science and Technology at National Taiwan University. In the Cheng lab, the research interest is to study the light-stress signaling crosstalk. Their main goal is to understand the mechanism of how plants cope with stresses and manage to find the balance of growth and defense.
