Postdoctoral Research Associate

Glendale, Arizona
I am a postdoctoral research associate in Grotewold's Lab at Michigan State University. I am interested in plant biology and solving crucial questions that can contribute to the progress of science. Projects that I have been involved in include:
1. Utilizing genome-wide approaches to investigate protein-DNA interactions in maize and camelina.
2. Integrating RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, DAP-Seq, and ATAC-seq to understand the genetics-to-phenotype relationship in the phenylpropanoid pathway of maize.
3. Elucidating alternative TSS usage of genes between different maize genotypes, as well as their responses to cold and heat stress using CAGE and Nanopore data.
4. Functionally characterizing tomato genes that regulate fruit size, with a focus on transcriptome analysis of genes involved in tomato meristem development.
While I am busy with these exciting projects, I also enjoy traveling with my family to national parks, playing games with my kids, reading inspiring books, and practicing yoga and meditation.
