Efficiency Trait Discovery Lead, Bayer Science Fellow
Bayer
Saint Louis, Missouri
My early scientific career and training were in transcription & chromatin biology, studied in the context of many model organisms including budding yeast, fruit flies and Arabidopsis. After completing my Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics at Washington University in St. Louis, I have spent the past 15 years in Plant Biotechnology at Bayer Crop Science, developing and utilizing new genetic techologies to improve traits in row crops. I am currently Crop Efficiency Trait Discovery Lead, working with my colleagues to design more resilient crops to defend yield in a changing climate. My wife and I live in St. Louis City with 2 high-schoolers and a couple dogs who wish they got more walks.
