Postdoctoral Research Associate
Oak Ridge National Laboratory
Oak Ridge, Tennessee
Jun Hyung (Jun) Lee has been a postdoctoral research associate within the Biosciences Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) since 2020. He received his Ph.D. in Forest Genetics from Purdue University in 2017, studying a threatened forest tree species (Fraxinus nigra Marsh.) to develop transgenic trees with insect-resistance and reproductive-sterility. His research interests are to improve plant productivity and resource use efficiency, with a primary focus on enhancing resistance or tolerance to biotic and abiotic stressors. At ORNL, his research is focused on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of plant-microbe interactions that drive enhanced plant resilience to adverse environmental conditions.
