Xiaodong Xu
Professor of biological sciences in Henan university, China.
She received Ph.D. in cell biology from Hebei Normal University in 2002, studying cell signaling transduction. She then completed a postdoc at Vanderbilt University (Carl H. Johnson's lab, 2002-2006) where she investigated the clock modulation of cytosolic free calcium oscillations in Arabidopsis. In 2006-2010, she was employed by Dartmouth College (C. Robertson McClung's lab, 2006-2009) and analyzed the circadian gene expression in Brassica rapa. In 2010, she set up her own laboratory and found that LNK1,2 (Plant Cell, 2014) and BBX18,19 (Plant Cell, 2021) proteins are involved in the TTFLs of circadian clock as transcriptional activation cofactors. In recent years, her laboratory discovered the role of soybean circadian gene GmLCLs in flowering time and drought stress response.
