I’m mostly interested in identifying the genetic and non-genetic factors that control phenotypic diversity in crops. Throughout my scientific career, I worked with different domesticated and wild plant species, ranging from grapevine to walnut to cereals. I’m currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, in the research group of Prof. Brook Moyers. Here I’m studying the phenotypic adaptation to drought in Asian rice cultivars by integrating quantitative and population genetics with digital phenotyping. I’m also involved in the development of a new high-throughput phenotyping method to monitor fruit rot disease in cranberry.
