Having completed my Ph.D. in Santiago, Chile, I embarked to Bonn, Germany, to work as a Postdoctoral researcher following my growing fascination for redox biology and functional genomics.
My research initially focused on developing and integrating genetically encoded fluorescent sensors targeted to distinct subcellular compartments. These innovative tools have allowed us to shed light on various aspects of plant thiol redox biology and other physiological parameters. Now, I am starting my research group, which focused on characterizing the ubiquitous and multifunctional glutathione S-transferases in plants.
